The School of Graduate Studies is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University’s strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education. It also proactively seeks collaboration with leading institutions in the international academic communities to co-organise scholarly activities to enhance postgraduate student learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a wide range of administrative support to matters pertaining to RPg studies, from academic quality assurance of programmes, admissions, registration, records, assessment and financial sponsorships, to day-to-day academic services to RPg students
  • Provide secretarial support to committees 
  • Assist in the development, management and enhancement of RPg data repository systems and data analytics, and automation work projects 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

  • A good first degree plus at least seven years of relevant experience, preferably in supporting RPg matters 
  • Relevant administrative experience with a high level of competence in committee work
  • Very strong analytical and logical thinking, and interpersonal, communication, coordination and problem solving skills
  • A very good command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with a high level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes
  • The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedules 
  • A strong sense of responsibility
  • Previous experience in handling admissions-related matters and in workflow automation, and knowledge of IT applications will be a definite advantage

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
