ROLE: MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS EXECUTIVE
The Marketing and Public Relations Executive plays a vital role in our organization, contributing to the strategic development and execution of marketing and public relations initiatives. This position involves collaborating with various teams to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and promote our programmes and campaigns to drive our mission of accelerating a circular future in fashion. The Marketing and Public Relations Executive will assist in the creation of compelling marketing content, manage social media platforms, support media relations efforts, and contribute to the planning and execution of events. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and creativity. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of marketing principles, proficiency in Chinese and English (reading and writing) and possess the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while effectively working within a team.
Job Summary:
The PR & Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting the implementation of various communications and promotional activities within the annual Redress calendar, primarily focused on the Redress Design Award cycle. This full-time position reports directly to the Communications Manager and involves working closely with the creative team to develop marketing strategies, manage media relations, drive social media engagement, handle copywriting and translation tasks, coordinate events, and assist with marketing measurements and analysis.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy Support:
- Assist in developing marketing strategies to achieve program objectives and promote educational content.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
2. Social Media Management:
- Drive day-to-day management of multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Little Red Book, LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with the Creative Executive to develop effective social media campaigns.
- Manage content posting and engage with followers.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for social media platforms.
3. Marketing Measurements and Analysis:
- Prepare media reports to track PR and marketing efforts.
- Analyze social media performance and provide insights.
- Assist in creating project reports for key sponsors.
- Conduct ad-hoc research tasks and provide administrative support as needed.
4. Copywriting and Translation:
- Assist with copywriting and translation of promotional and educational materials, with a focus on sustainability.
- Collaborate with external translators when necessary.
- Create content for Redress and Redress Design Award websites, social media platforms, marketing materials, educational content, Redress Design Award Magazine, and video series.
5. Advertising Support:
- Assist in the development of advertising plans.
- Coordinate the placement of digital ads on social media channels using platforms like Google AdWords, Meta, YouTube.
- Negotiate and place ads in various media publications and online platforms.
6. Public Relations Assistance:
- Conduct proactive outreach to media and bloggers, pitching story ideas.
- Distribute press releases and media kits.
- Handle media inquiries via telephone and email.
- Manage media scanning, clipping, and report creation.
- Maintain media and interview databases.
7. Event Coordination:
- Support general event coordination and production for press launches, Grand Final week activities, and exhibitions.
- Manage guest lists for media publications, influencers, ambassadors, and celebrities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, marketing, PR or related roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Knowledge of sustainability and fashion industry trends is a plus.
- Fluency in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
