PRODUCT ENGINEER

Job Specification:

• To work with Customers and Suppliers for product development projects and product improvement projects to the required specifications.
• To assist Engineering Manager for New Products/Sourced Products Development to the required specifications.
• To work with and provide the technical support.to Suppliers and Quality Team for problem analysis and problem solving for the non-conformance.
• To coordinate with different stakeholders including but not limited to Suppliers, Project Co-ordination Team, and Logistics to ensure on-time product deliveries.
• To coordinate with Suppliers to follow up technical issues.
• To conduct engineering testing at factories or in Hong Kong office and create reports for results/findings/ issues
• 3D CAD data and drawings management.
• Regular life test audits at factories.
• Production line inspection at factories, prior to production start.
• To attend pilot runs and/or first production at factories and report to Engineering Manager
• To communicate with different stakeholders, including but not limited to Suppliers, laboratories and internal teams
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager
• Frequent travel to China is required, mainly in Guangdong Province.
• 5-day work week.

The successful applicant will be required to have/be:
 

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in small appliances product development.  Experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Mandarin.
• Self-motivated, proactive and positive attitude.
• A team player.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility
