Alpha Calibration provides a wide range of middle office services to financial institutions based in Hong Kong. Our existing clients include banks, hedge funds, wealth managers and brokers.

About the role
Join the team at Alpha Calibration (Hong Kong) Limited as a full-time Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your accounting and fund administration expertise in a the financial services industry.  An immediate start date is preferred.

Your main tasks will include the following:

• Book keeping and prepare financial statements internal as well as external clients 
• Prepare and review fund accounting records, including net asset value (NAV) calculations
• Processing of fund subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and corporate actions
• Prepare / review the Financial Resources Rules (FRR) financial reporting for Hong Kong licensed entities.

Training will be provided. 

Gain Knowledge and Experience
The role will provide an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Learn about administrative responsibilities of a fund, from investor onboarding and capital calls to investor reporting and distributions.
• Develop expertise in Financial Resources Rules.
• Opportunity to work on fund accounting for different jurisdictions such as the Caymans and BVI.

Attributes / Skills
The successful candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A good accounting qualification. CPA is preferred.
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Good communicator and team player
• Familiar / willing to learn to use Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint
• Familiar with Xero and Excel
• Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) required.
