Major Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean of School of Arts and Social Sciences, the appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Providing secretarial support to the Dean on various matters, including but not limited to committee work, scheduling of meetings, preparation of presentation materials and logistic support for meetings/events organized by the Dean/School;
- Coordinating and liaising matters, on behalf of the Dean, with both internal and external parties at various levels;
- Providing general support to the daily operations and office administration of the School;
- Providing frontline/customer service, if necessary; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics, preferably with a recognized degree;
- Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
- High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua);
- Service-minded, cheerful and tactful in dealing with people;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Prior experience in providing secretarial support to senior executives would be a definite advantage.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation.
