Job Description
As an Assistant Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and driving the team’s progress. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities. This will involve leveraging your knowledge and skills to mentor and empower your teammates, working towards your own personal sales goals, and collectively contributing to the team's sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective category management strategies to optimize product assortment, pricing, and listing schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate favorable terms to ensure reliable supply and maximize profit margins.
- Leverage live streaming and TV programs to forge strategic partnerships with suppliers to drive revenue.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective promotional campaigns.
- Assist in setting and achieving team sales targets, monitoring progress, and making data-driven decisions.
- Conduct performance analysis and share your expertise to help teammates develop their skills through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities, including proactively reaching out to potential new suppliers and brand owners to bring in new high-quality products that can drive category growth.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the FMCG or e-commerce industry, with a proven track record of success in a managerial role. Strong existing supplier networks and relationships would be considered a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations, workflow optimization, and team management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment, with the ability to adapt and excel in the face of change.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline.
- Fluency in both oral and written English and Chinese.
