Assistant Career Development Officer in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/890/03]
Duties
- Provide daily administrative and logistics support for career services (including career consultation services, career preparation and education workshops, eResources for selection processes, and managing the career consultation system);
- Assist in the planning and implementation of employability enhancement programmes;
- Organise recruitment talks, employers’ outreach and engagement events, career fairs, and other career-related initiatives;
- Handle requests and inquiries about students’ career development and employment matters from students, employers, and internal staff members;
- Input, analyse, and compile data for regular and ad-hoc reporting; maintain and update schedules and payroll information for Part-time Career Advisors;
- Assist in the design and promotion of career-related events; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
The appointee will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 year’s administrative/relevant experience;
- Good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Excellent communication, administration, interpersonal and organisation skills;
- Being self-motivated and passionate in facilitating students’ growth and career development;
- Ability to work independently and in a team; and
- Proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
- Knowledge and interest in design and social media would be a definite advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
