We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Student Affairs Office:
Assistant Director of Student Affairs (SAO) (Ref: 24001YD)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Assisting the Director of Student Affairs in long-term planning, strategic alignment, and management oversight of the Student Affairs Office;
- Overseeing and developing a diverse range of enrichment services/programmes that enhance the overall student experience, including counselling and development services, support services to SEN students, sports and physical development programmes, service-learning, community engagement, student affairs communication and outreach;
- Establishing performance goals and measures to evaluate the success of assigned areas of responsibility and assisting in the analysis of the effectiveness of policies and programmes relevant to the whole-person development of students;
- Cultivating a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, synergy, and ongoing improvement;
- Providing executive support to committees and working groups; and
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal office hours and/or travel outside Hong Kong occasionally.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognised degree, ideally a higher degree, with extensive knowledge and solid experience in areas related to student affairs, tertiary education, or youth development;
- A minimum of twelve years of post-degree work experience, primarily in programme management and student learning management in the tertiary education sector or NGO;
- Strategic foresight and a vision for enhancing the student experience, along with proven excellent team planning, management, and support skills to lead and collaborate with dynamic teams;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and establish enduring relationships with various stakeholders;
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Active involvement in daily operational and implementation work.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
