Assistant Field Applications Engineer / Field Applications Engineer

Responsibilities：
 

• Provide first level technical support to all customers in the APAC, including pre-sales, post-sales and design-in support
• Technical focal point between distributors/customers and internal teams
• Manage field technical cases from problem definition to resolution in the APAC, assure timely solutions and feedback
• Create, review and maintain technical application documentation
• Provide technical market intelligence and support corporate strategy for new product developments from application engineering perspective
• Main focal point for end customers/distributions handling RMA and FAR with effective communication
• Responsible to on-board all manufacturing representatives, representative companies, catalog distributors, and traditional distribution partners for APAC on all technical trainings and related items
• Responsible for engaging distribution partners and direct customers in APAC
• Team up with distribution partners, by attending trade shows and/or visiting end customers
• Coordinate any logistics between end customers, external partners, and internal technical and non-technical teams
• PCN / EOL notifications and tracking
• External representation of IM during tradeshows
• Creation of technical presentation material for internal and external purpose

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent discipline and interest in the semiconductor industry, especially DRAM and NAND flash technology
• Ability to work with an international team across geographically dispersed areas
• Willing to learn and upon your existing knowledge
• Language skills: Excellent communication, verbal and written fluency in English and Japanese
• Ability to interact with customers
• Ability to work in a global and diverse environment
• Strong team spirit
• Proactive and professional attitude
• This role requires travel: around 10%
• Added advantages: strong debugging skills and basic knowledge of understanding hardware and software design
