Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Providing assistance in course planning, development, coordination, delivery, marking, and student relations in University Core Values and Social Responsibilities modules at undergraduate level;
- Liaising with community partners and supervising students in practical training and service learning;
- Organizing student activities and workshops;
- Undertaking/engaging in scholarly activities;
- Participating in School/University activities and administration; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A higher degree in Social Science, with expertise in the area of Political Science, or a related discipline;
- Relevant teaching/professional experience including programme development, course administration, assignment marking, and student enquiry service relating to university general education programme;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua; and
- Strong sense of responsibility and patience.
The level of appointment depends on the candidate’s academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
