Our company is a International trading office looking for an Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser (Garment) in Hong Kong.  This is a newly created position due to business expansion.

Qualification

• A higher diploma / degree, preferably in Fashion & Textile
• 1 year or more relevant experience in merchandising, preferably in the apparel & garment industry
• Sound experience of cost preparation with sensitivity to numbers and good mathematical skills
• Strong communication skills with excellent customer service manner
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
• Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

Job Description

        As an Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in bridging   the gap between product development and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily communication with partnering departments, factories, and customers on all merchandising issues from product development to bulk shipment
• Ongoing material sourcing and product development for customers in collaboration with partnering departments
• Consolidation of sales data for team's sales offer preparation
• Providing costings for responsible product categories and performing order checking
• Partnering with factories' customer services team to prepare bulk orders and provide after-sales services when necessary
• Inspecting production and handling quality control to ensure on-time delivery
• Balancing the interests of customers and plants throughout the development and production process
• Need to work in Hong Kong, and frequent travel to China and Oversea.
