Assistant Officer (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 241122003)
[Appointment period: twelve months]
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide logistics and administrative support in maintaining the sports equipment and storage inventory;
(b) assist in the organisation and liaison work for the inter-collegiate competitions;
(c) assist in the coordination and organisation of outbound trips for sports teams;
(d) support the planning, organisation and leading of campus-wide physical wellness workshops and activities;
(e) support the coordination work with the part-time fitness specialists in organising the campus-wide activities;
(f) support the analysis of the surveys / reports related to sports teams, PE courses and sports facilities evaluation;
(g) provide support to the sports development team in various aspects, including sports administration, promotion and publicity, and record keeping; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work during non-office hours if necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in Sports Management, Sports Science, or a relevant discipline;
(b) have at least three years of relevant experience;
(c) have specific sports knowledge, such as health and fitness, strength and conditioning, sports psychology and sports injury, etc.;
(d) preferably possess a coaching certificate in any sports;
(e) have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(f) have sound knowledge of computer applications; and
(g) have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
