Data Analyst

We are seeking a talented professional to support and drive the integration of AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions into our engineering design workflows. The successful candidate will leverage tools such as Python, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and LLMs, along with computer vision techniques, to develop innovative in-house software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models using libraries such as Scikit-learn and PyTorch to optimize design workflows and project outcomes.
• Build and deploy AI-driven tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) for chatbots computer vision systems for image recognition, to support engineers for design validation, site monitoring, and automation.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and in-house software platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements, translate technical needs into data-driven solutions, and provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain database structures (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to store and manage project-related data effectively.
• Analyze datasets from infrastructure projects to identify patterns, improve decision-making, and enhance design efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and propose innovative applications.
• Support the development of in-house software tools by providing technical expertise and ensuring seamless integration with engineering processes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including management team and engineers, in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or software development, preferably in an engineering or construction context.
• Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or similar ML and deep learning frameworks.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and computer vision techniques for applications such as image recognition or object detection
• Strong understanding of database design and management, e.g. SQL, MongoDB, or similar platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, for deploying AI models and managing data pipelines.
• Experience with software development practices, including version control, e.g. Git and collaborative coding.
• Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to applying AI and data science in real-world infrastructure challenges.
• Knowledge of construction or infrastructure project, including CAD / BIM design workflows is a plus but not mandatory.
• Fluency in English with proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous.
