Who are we? 

In 2015, ALBA IWS was appointed by the HKSAR Government to operate an integrated waste management facility for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Hong Kong. Our services begin with free door-to-door collection and end with the removal of hazardous wastes and turning them into valuable secondary raw materials. We also refurbish WEEE and donate them to those in need.

Your Role

You will be responsible for liaising with our clients (retailers, distributors of electronic & IT appliances, etc.) along the journey of regulated electrical equipment (REEE) collection to ensure volume and quality of REEE we collect and process. 

Business Development: 

• Conduct market research, analyse data, identify key competitors and potential clients with focus on target sectors as assigned
• Participate in community engagement events such as Donations, Exhibitions, & Award Ceremony 
• Increasing market share for assigned business segments and implement programs to increase collection volume
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
• Follow up on business leads and pursue new WEEE collection opportunities
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop marketing materials, campaigns
• Support other Group companies to establish and enhance their reverse supply chain operation

Sales and Revenue Management:

• Achieve sales targets and objectives
• Manage the sales process, including site visits, new account opening, customer follow-up, quoting, negotiation, and contracting.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, handle sales-related documentation and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare sales presentations and participate in client meetings
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, operations and logistics, to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction

Who are you?

• You are passionate about environmental sustainability 
• You are a creative, self-initiated problem-solver 
• You have experiences presenting novel ideas to a wide range of audience, and convincing them to join your cause
• You enjoy connecting and communicating with people from different walks of life
• You are responsible, meticulous, and able to prioritize properly when multitasking
• You are proficient in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint among others
• You are willing to commute to our WEEE Park facility in Tuen Mun (factory shuttle will be provided) to work with stakeholders across the company whenever necessary

Other Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in Marketing / Business / Communication / Sustainability / Environmental or related discipline
• At least 2 years of applicable experiences in business development, channel sales or client relationship management experiences 
• Holder of ESG Planner certification will be an advantage

Candidates with more relevant experience will be considered as Senior Development Officer
