Primary Role Objectives
- Develop and drive the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) capabilities and activities of the Hong Kong business to support commercial outcomes.
- Develop an effective business partnership approach, by demonstrating the value that MarCom can deliver.
- Deliver integrated marketing solutions to the business aligned with the divisional MarCom direction in the areas of brand management, strategic advisory, social & digital marketing, media relations, event management and internal communications.
- Build a MarCom function that is acknowledged by the business as an important contributor to CBRE’s brand equity and commercial success.
- Review and manage the MarCom team, driving high performance standards and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Hong Kong leadership team to develop holistic marketing strategies, priorities and action plans.
- Develop and manage media relations, corporate/client events, and social media to facilitate and reinforce market/brand awareness.
- Create and update collateral, presentations, brochures, case studies, white papers, web content, newsletters etc.
- Maintain the firm’s branding and visual identity guidelines. Ensure consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials and activities.
- Identify high-profile public speaking opportunities for business leaders to enhance our thought leader position in the local market.
- Work with People team and drive strategic employee communications from the MarCom’s capacity.
- Develop compelling content for press releases, marketing collateral, internal communications and other communication materials as needed.
- Manage day-to-day activities of team members, provide regular feedback, and monitor performance.
- Carry out any other assignments as directed by the Head of MarCom, North Asia and Hong Kong leadership team.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated ability from strategy to execution – requires skills of a hands-on marketer, with strategic insight, and able to challenge status quo and think out-of-the-box.
- Client focused, demonstrating the ability to provide quality service and advice within MarCom arena – brand, media/social media, digital, print production, web, outdoor etc.
- Strong writing and editing capabilities, specifically business writing, executive communications, creative writing.
- Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization with excellent presentation skills.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and refined knowledge of computer tools; Digital savvy.
- Committed, highly flexible, and willing to learn and take up new responsibilities. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
To perform successfully, you should have the following:
- University degree with at least 10 to 12 years of professional experience in a broad marketing role in Advertising/PR, property, financial or professional services.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
- Strong event management experience.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with management and colleagues.
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Proficient in English/Chinese speaking and writing.
- Independent, self-motivated and creative.
