Environmental Affairs Officer

TGE is looking for a candidate who is passionate about striving for environmental sustainability in Hong Kong, through environmental policy research and campaigns. 

Job Highlight:

- Execute environmental campaigns and researches for the organization

Key objectives of the post:

1. Develop and implement communication strategies in environmental campaigns and research
2. Follow up on the research agenda in environmental policies and initiatives, mainly on waste management and climate action;
3. Formulate environmental policy recommendations to the government, corporate partners and community stakeholders;
4. Liaise and maintain good communications with stakeholders and media;
5. Analyze findings and communicate green knowledge, messages and recommendations to a wide audience via different channels;
6. Explore and maintain up-to-date environmental knowledge for internal project teams.

Requirement:

1. Passionate about making a difference to the environment. 
2. Have a strong belief on the vision and mission of The Green Earth (http://greenearth.org.hk);
3. A Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Studies, Communications, Public Administration, Social Science or other related disciplines;
4. At least 2 years of relevant working experience;
5. Understanding and interest in government policies and environmental issues of Hong Kong
6. Strong analytical and presentation skills;
7. Experience in media communications and/or online campaigning will be an advantage;
8. Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;
9. Working in non-regular hours or holidays may be required.
