Duties

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Office, the appointee is expected to:

  1. Work with overseas/mainland partner institutions and student participants to promote and support student exchange and other global learning programmes;

  2. Formulate and implement outreaching plans to cultivate partnership with renowned institutions around the world;

  3. Engage inbound and outbound exchange students to promote cultural diversity on campus;

  4. Represent and promote CityUHK at international conferences and image building events;

  5. Coordinate joint-university initiatives to promote internationalisation in Hong Kong;

  6. Plan and organise university events in Hong Kong and overseas to aid partnership cultivation;

  7. Manage academic, research and student exchange agreements at institutional-level and provide agreement advising services to academic units of the University;

  8. Arrange and coordinate inbound delegations related to partnership cultivation; and

  9. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Occasional travel is required.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience. Ability to identify and analyse market intelligence in support of exchange student enrolment and partnership building; excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills (including the ability to work effectively with senior colleagues and faculty members in the University and external stakeholders such as local/non-local partners, diplomats, alumni, and key players in the higher education community); excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective communication and presentation skills; good knowledge of computer and software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to interact with and understand the needs of exchange/non-local students; dynamic personality with a strong attention to details; and being flexible and prepared for changes in job assignments are required.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
