The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1963, the CUHK Business School has gained world recognition of nurturing business leaders with immense contributions in the Asia Pacific. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (DBA, MBA, MSc, MAcc, EMBA, MPhil, PhD) with over 4,600 students from 20+ countries/regions, as well as executive education. It has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 45,000 alumni around the world.
 
Among all the Master’s programmes offered by the School, the MBA Programme in Finance is a highly selective programme that aims to attract highly motivated professionals in the Financial and related business sectors. This part-time programme caters to the needs of working professionals in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the region whose needs are centred on leadership development.

Reporting to the Administrative Director and / or his / her delegate, the appointee is expected to (a) oversee the administration of academic content process and delivery, including scheduling, planning and delivering of face-to-face, online, or mixed mode of course delivery, as well as seminars and workshops; (b) lead/organize all co-curricular activities, including orientation, ceremonial events, company/alumni talks, study trips and other such projects as assigned; (c) support and facilitate student-led or societies-led activities; (d) work closely with Faculty members, support the seamless course delivery, bridge the communication with students, and assure the learning process; (e) work closely with students as their learning partner, including supporting students in their learning journey, cultivating strong class bonding and building high level student engagement, with the goal of achieving high student satisfaction throughout their MBA programmes; (e) work closely with Business School and the University’s Graduate School to follow the academic policies and regulations; (f) establish and execute programme policies, and serve as secretary for the programme-related committees and boards; (g) work and develop strong relationships with academic staff, business partners in Mainland China, and liaise with other internal / external stakeholders; (h) oversee the preparation of budgets and annual reports; and (h) perform impromptu duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours and travelling outside Hong Kong will be required frequently. 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, and a Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline or above; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive and / or management experience (for Executive Officer I), preferably in higher education settings; (iv) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua); (v) strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with business partners, potential and current students, alumni and other relevant stakeholders; (vi) experience in teaching and/or administering academic programmes and managing student/alumni community at post-secondary level; and (vii) knowledge of best practices and innovative trends in postgraduate education, especially in Mainland China, and China business/Chinese financial industry, as well as experience with social media will be advantageous. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in English and/or Chinese, in addition to interview.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
