IT Manager

Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) is a limited company incorporated in 2024, wholly owned by the Financial Secretary Incorporated.

The BTRi will conduct research and development (R&D) activities in areas covering innovative construction materials, construction methods and technologies, as well as devise standards, conduct testing and provide accreditation. Hong Kong has unique advantages with a wealth of knowledge and experience in applying international construction standards. Through collaboration with government authorities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), the BTRi will foster interconnectivity and integrated development of the GBA, and help build the brand of "GBA Standards" by developing standards for different domains of construction, such as materials, design and construction methods, with a view to developing the GBA into one of the regions with the most advanced construction technologies in the country and transforming the construction industry into a new quality productive force.

Job Responsibility

• Lead and manage IT projects, including business application implementation, data storage, systems, website revamp, IT infrastructure and security
• Coordinate with external vendors and oversee project status, ensuring timely completion within budget and adherence to quality standards
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliability and security of IT systems, business applications, network infrastructure, and cloud services
• Design and implement effective IT strategies that aligned with business goals
• Provide daily IT support in the office and ensure the stability of the office systems, network and applications
• Support the tendering process of the IT systems, including the preparation of tender specifications, proposals evaluation, and vendors selection

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 5 years of experience in business application development, IT operations, and project management
• Hands-on experience of managing IT service operations, IT infrastructure, cloud services to ensure efficient and secure IT environments
• Awareness of trends in AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies that could create benefits for business applications
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese, Mandarin and English
• Immediate availability is preferred

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a 5-day work week and attractive remuneration package i.e. medical benefits and annual leave to the successful candidates. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
