Junior Data Engineer / Data Engineer

About the role

Admazes Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in performing quality assurance tasks including User Acceptance Test (UAT) and developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our growing business. This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong, with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, teaming with both internal and external parties.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data processing workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
• Develop and maintain efficient data models and data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics
• Perform quality assurance tasks and User Acceptance Tests with business users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
• Implement and maintain data quality and data governance processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of our data assets
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field and identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation
• Chance to work at customer sites for enterprise scale data projects

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar data-focused role
• Proficiency in SQL programming and database management.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines and data processing workflows using tools like Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies
• Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and database design principles
• Knowledge on Cloud Data Warehouse / Data Lakehouse technology such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift is highly preferred.
• Knowledge on Cloud such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
