Job Purpose*

A Kennel Keeper is to provide professional care and maintenance for animals housed in a kennel environment. This role involves ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all animals under their supervision. This includes tasks such as feeding and exercising animals, maintaining clean and comfortable living conditions, monitoring animals for signs of illness or distress, and providing necessary medical care or alerting veterinary professionals when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities*

  • Ensure all animals are properly fed and watered according to specific dietary needs.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect kennels to maintain a hygienic living environment.
  • Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and take appropriate action.
  • Exercise animals and provide them with appropriate socialization.
  • Administer medication as directed by a veterinarian.
  • Maintain detailed records of each animal’s health, behavior, and progress.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety and welfare regulations.
  • Assist with customer service and client relations as needed.
  • Participate in training or continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices in animal care.

Qualification*

  • Completed HKCEE/ DSE or relevant qualifications.

Requirements*

  • Computer literacy will be advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.
  • A team player, self-motivated with good interpersonal skill.
  • Have experience of animal handling and care.
  • Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals.
