Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Preparing the necessary materials and equipment for setting up laboratory class;
- Handling daily operations of laboratories;
- Demonstrating laboratory experiments and providing analytical instrument training to students and laboratory users;
- Assisting in setting up a new laboratory/facilities for teaching and research purpose;
- Assisting in handling of license, purchasing orders and inventory for updating, renewal and maintaining the facilities in the laboratories;
- Providing technical support to academic staff and students;
- Ensuring the safety and security related issues in the laboratories; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science or a related discipline;
- Experience in operating and performing maintenance for instruments would be an advantage;
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
