Merchandiser

Job Duties:

• Responsible for sourcing and vendor management
• Engage in merchandising process such as product development, price comparison, article & offer management
• Handle quotation comparison/analysis and price negotiation with vendors; monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors.
• Ensure timely transportation, shipment and distribution of shipment based on company's guidelines and local regulations
• Directly communicate with German counterpart to ensure services required which have been met from all vendors
• Follow-up on orders taken including monitoring, tracking of shipments and advising German counterpart on the shipment status
• Maintain filing and documentation systematically
• Provide administrative and clerical support
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• University / Tertiary education graduate in Form 6 or above
• More than 4 years relevant experience in sourcing and merchandising about Household, or Sundries items for the RPC market.
• Solid experience in liaising with China vendors, forwarder and foreigner counterpart
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with Buyer, vendors and co-worker
• Knowledge in I/E procedure and regulation, import duty, incoterms, L/C & banking document handling is an advantage
• Detail-minded with good efficiency and well organized in work
• Energetic, mature, independent, details orientated and crucial in good team spirit
• Work experience in German buying office preference
• Self-motivate and ability to multi-tasking
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Comprehensive knowledge PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing is must
• Knowledge of Power Query, Pivot Table & V- lookup is definite advantage
