About The Job

As an AI Application Researcher, you will pioneer agentic AI systems that perform complex tasks autonomously. You’ll design and deploy advanced workflows, integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and optimize scalable AI solutions using cutting-edge NLP and LLM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement NLP algorithms for tasks like text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and question answering.
• Build and optimize solutions using large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows for autonomous AI systems to perform complex tasks with minimal human intervention.
• Research and integrate state-of-the-art NLP and LLM techniques to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
• Optimize data processing workflows for NLP tasks, including automated data preparation and preprocessing.
• Work with cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, product managers) to integrate NLP and LLM solutions into products and services.
• Design tool integration frameworks to enable LLMs to access external systems and data sources.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain NLP and LLM systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Stay updated with advancements in NLP and LLM research, incorporating relevant techniques into projects.
• Document algorithms, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

About You

Core Competencies

• Master’s and above in computer science, AI, ML, or related field
• Proficient in Python, ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, transformers, fastText), and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience implementing LLMs (e.g., DeepSeek, Doubao, GPT, Claude) for production.
• Skilled in prompt engineering, context optimization, LLM evaluation, and agentic AI architectures and workflows (planning, reasoning, tool usage).
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.

Preferred Qualities & Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in Chinese NLP; experience fine-tuning LLMs (e.g., DeepSeek, Doubao, GPT, Claude) for domain-specific applications.
• Hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), and LLM alignment/safety techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to productionize LLM applications at scale, optimizing for latency and cost efficiency
• Experience designing multi-agent or autonomous AI systems.
• Strong track record in international AI competitions and/or with publications in top-tier NLP/ML venues
• Candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience will be considered for more senior roles.
