Part-time STEAM Tutor (Medium of Instruction: English) 兼職 STEAM 導師 (全英文授課）

Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Part-time STEAM Tutor to join our team. As a STEAM Tutor, you will be responsible for teaching STEAM-related courses, particularly Micro:bit and Python Game Development. The medium of instruction for this role is English. You will be teaching in-school to primary school students, delivering one or more of the following courses:

• Micro:bit Coding Course
• Python Game Development Course (Pygame)
• CoSpaces Coding Course
• Virtual Reality Experience Course
• Robotics Training Course (VEX IQ)

We welcome applications from professional tutors, graduates, college or university students, or anyone looking to develop their career in the education industry. Those with experience in STEAM tutoring will be given priority.

Our teaching hourly wages start at $180, with bonuses for quality teaching. Lesson preparation hourly wages start at $65.

Responsibilities:

• Teach STEAM-related content (Micro:bit Coding, Python Coding, Metaverse) to primary school students
• Design and implement engaging STEAM lessons that challenge and motivate students
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and teachers

Requirements:

• Passionate about STEAM education and working with students
• Ability to teach in English (native speaker or fluent in English)
• Knowledge of block-based and/or Python coding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• We welcome applicants with no prior experience but a strong enthusiasm and interest in STEAM education
• A bachelor's degree in Education or a STEAM-related field is preferred
• Ability to manage time flexibly and prioritize tasks effectively
