We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Part-time Teaching Assistant (2025 Spring Term) (A&SS) (Ref: 24002QR)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will be required to assist in, and where necessary, undertake course planning, development and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes. Major duties include conducting tutorials, marking assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence for the relevant course(s) are specified as follows:

- ECON 1001AEF Foundations of Social Sciences: Economics
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Economics or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
- ECON A232F Introduction to Macroeconomics
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Economics or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage.
- LANG A339F/LANG 4139AEF Pragmatics
A recognized degree in Linguistics or a related discipline and a postgraduate qualification in TEFL or Linguistics. Relevant teaching experience would be an advantage
- PSYC A326F Clinical Psychology
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
- PSYC A328F Consumer Psychology
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience in Consumer Psychology or Consumer Behavior at tertiary level would be an advantage.
- PSYC A333F Current Issues in Psychology
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
Duration of Appointment
The appointees will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from January 2025 to June 2025 for a maximum of 17 hours per week.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
