Physical Education Officer, SAO (Ref.: 24/126/SAO/PEO)

Duties:

Reporting to the Director, Student Affairs (DSA), the appointee will be responsible for 

1. Assisting the DSA in the planning and implementation of the University-wide Wellness and Healthy-U Programmes;
2. Acting as a coach or team manager of SFU/ CBCC Sports Teams;
3. Developing new SFU Sports Teams;
4. Recruiting Student- Athletes;
5. Ensuring sports-related programme delivery quality;
6. Acting as a coordinator and representative of SFU in liaison with Sports Teams of other   universities in the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK);
7. Monitoring the budget and expenditure of all sports-related programmes;
8. Performing any other duties as assigned.

Appointment Criteria:

Applicants should have

1. A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/ Sports and Recreation Administration or related disciplines;
2. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification working experience in a related field;
3. Excellent command of English and Chinese;
4. High proficiency in computer skills such as office software applications and statistical analyses; and
5. Good problem-solving skills, and good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
