The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1963, the CUHK Business School has gained world recognition of nurturing business leaders with immense contributions in the Asia Pacific. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (DBA, MBA, MSc, MAcc, EMBA, PhD) with over 4,600 students from 20+ countries/regions, as well as executive education programmes. It has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 45,000 alumni around the world.

The Faculty Office is a dynamic team of administrative staff to support the School in various aspects of its activities including academic development, strategic and resources planning, outreach and external engagement, etc. The Office works closely with academic units /offices within the School and the University, as well as external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Team Head or his/her delegate(s), the appointee will be responsible for (a) handling financial matters including budget review, project account management, internal fund transfers as well as preparation of financial documents, etc.; (b) providing support to day-to-day operations of the office; (c) planning, co-ordinating and providing support to Faculty-wide events and initiatives; (d) performing other impromptu duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours may be required.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably gained in the tertiary education or public sector; (iii) detail-oriented, good analytical, communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills; (iv) a collaborative and can-do work attitude, self-motivation, a strong sense of commitment and ownership, and the ability to work independently and as a team member; (v) proficiency in MS Office; and (vi) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Hands-on knowledge of the University’s systems (such as CUPIS, CUSAP, FMS etc.) and prior experience in accounting and finance in the tertiary education sector are highly advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
