Research Assistant II (R6681) (S&T) (Ref: 24002NK)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly assist the research team in the research project “Molecular Mechanisms of Combination Effects of Azoles, Echinocandins and Nikkomycin Z Against Candida Albicans and Candida Auris" (R6681).  He / She will be responsible mainly for the following: 

• Conducting experimental research as instructed by the Investigator;
• Performing data analysis, assisting in report writing and presentation of the results;
• Assisting in literature searching; and
• Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A Bachelor's degree or above in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science or a related discipline;
• Experience in molecular or microbiology laboratory technique, as well as knowledge in next generation sequencing is preferred; 
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 
• Familiar with current scientific literature in the field of medical microbiology; and
• Self-motivated and meticulous, and be able to meet deadlines and work independently.
