Senior Electronic Engineer (Job Ref. Apply-HK-2512-SEE)

Responsibilities: 

• Successful candidate will join Hong Kong-based product development team and participate in the development of high-speed fiber-optic transceiver products.
• Circuit schematic design and substrate/PCB layout and related manufacturing document generation
• Circuit schematic design and substrate/PCB layout
• Conduct signal integrity and power integrity simulation and optimization
• EVT/DVT and failure analysis for fiber-optic transceiver products
• Perform evaluation test for new devices and components

 Requirement: 

·     Knowledge

• Circuit schematic and PCB layout design flow
• RF/high-speed and power layout strategy for multi-layer board
• Serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, MDIO, etc) interfacing between MCU and peripherals
• Deep understanding in HDI, mSAP and SAP manufacturing processes for PCB, substrate and FPC

·     Solid experience in

• Electronic circuit schematic design and PCB layout of products including analog/mixed signal, power management, and MCU control circuits
• PCB, BOM and PCBA manufacturing document preparation
• PCB DFM discussions with PCB suppliers
• Electronic component choice per product reliability requirement
• Hardware validation and failure analysis
• Circuit / power integrity / signal integrity simulation

·     Skills

• Cadence OrCAD, Allegro and Autodesk AutoCAD
• 3D CAD model import and handling for PCB design
• Simulation with LTspice, HFSS, SIwave, ADS (or equivalent)
• Power and ripple measurements with e-load, power probe and DSO.

·     Preferred knowledge, experience and skills

• Layout, 2D / 3D CAD software, for example PADS, Altium Designer, Polar, Creo, Solidworks
• High-speed/RF interconnect/trace design technique & knowhow
• Power electronics handling >30W at 3.3V or below.
• Mixed signal circuit (ADC, DAC, IDAC, TEC driver, etc) evaluation
• NRZ, PAM4 (or relevant) physical layer differential signalling for digital communication
• Understanding on the fundamental of optoelectronics is an advantage
• RF measurements with network analyser

·     Qualification

• Master / bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics or related disciplines
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

·     Other requirement

• Passionate and fast learner with Electronic Engineering background

• Ability to work independently and work under pressure
• Willing to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national team environment

• Occasional travel to China and oversea for technical support is required.
