Senior Manager, Hardware Development (Apply-HK-2502-SMHD)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of fiber optical transceiver projects, ensuring design excellence, technical integrity and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, optical and packaging engineers, to integrate all aspects of transceiver design.
• Lead the design review process on electrical, RF, mechanical, optical designs and ensure robust processes, manufacturability, providing critical analysis and solutions to accomplish the best in line product performance and reliability.
• Delivering high-performance, cost-effective products into production with customer wins and on schedule
• Work closely with project managers to assess risks, set project timelines, and ensure resource availability
• Work closely with the NPI (New Product Introduction) team to drive yield improvement and optimized manufacturing processes for the optical transceiver products

Key Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience with proven success in optical interconnect or transceivers
• Volume product development experience is required.
• Demonstrate success in leading innovation and technology development initiatives.
• Knowledge of PCB/PCBA and electronics, mechanical components, optical components, opto-electronics application limits, thermal management components and the corresponding supply chain.
• Knowledge of optical engine packaging and process technologies, thermal analysis, mechanical & optical tolerance analysis and DFM tradeoffs.
• Knowledge of SiPho devices in IMDD communication application.
  Familiarity with reliability requirement, and failure analysis techniques and industry specifications such as IEEE, ITU, and Telcordia…
• Familiarity with planning, design, and qualification phases of development cycles
• Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external customers and partners.
• Master/PhD degree in ME, Optics, Physics or equivalent, PhD is preferred
