Sourcing Specialist

We are currently seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our team in our Hong Kong office.  Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, your focus will be supporting the regional project team to drive source and procurement excellence. You will have responsibility to support Project executing Sourcing Plans leveraging Sourcing tools, processes and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work close with Product Team to source and develop high quality in right price.
• Partners with Project Team to drive activities on supporting business needs and achieve procurement metrics goals like costing, reliability, on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders, peers, and key or high impact suppliers, etc.
• Identify suitable suppliers and make recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Manage new suppliers on boarding, including business introduction, terms and conditions, procedures and regulations.
• Monitor the progress of new item development from draft, design, sampling and approval before transition to merchandising
• Lead strategic negotiation on long term agreements with specific suppliers. Assemble and analyze data to determine behavior patterns to identify opportunities for YOY productivity/cost improvement.

 Qualifications

• Form 7 / Associate Degree or above
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sourcing or merchandising experience (with knowledge in paper, seasonal and stationery products will be an advantage.)
• Capable of managing and achieving tight deadlines
• A good negotiator with superior attention to detail
• Self-motivated, well-organized, accountable, proactive with a positive mindset
• Possess experience in working with USA counterpart office is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; fluency in English and Mandarin
