Duties

Reporting to the Associate Dean (Global Executive Programs) and Associate Dean (China Executive Programs and Advancement), the appointee will have the following major responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the administrative processes and procedures for executive degree programmes, ensuring timely and effective day-to-day programme administration and activities;
  2. Supervise a group of supporting staff in various work processes, including admissions, student records, class schedule/timetable, event management, alumni relations, and providing procedural, regulatory and policy advice to academic departments for executive degree programmes;
  3. Assist programme directors in supporting the strategic development of various executive degree programmes in Hong Kong and mainland China;
  4. Assist in manpower planning, annual budget exercise and other financial matters relating to executive degree programmes;
  5. Provide administrative support to graduate programmes offered by the College, including coordination of annual tuition fee and intake plan, annual programme reports, learning experience surveys, UGC TPg Fellowship Scheme, graduation ceremony and programme promotions; and
  6. Service committees and working groups as required.
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours and travel to Mainland China and overseas countries.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 12 years of solid administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector with a high degree of professionalism in interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
  2. Demonstrated successful and substantial management experience in tertiary education with prior experience in leading a team;
  3. Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills with a good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Being self-motivated, resourceful and dynamic to respond proactively to a rapidly changing environment with a positive and flexible attitude; and
  5. Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads with a variety of stakeholders, perform multi-tasking effectively and efficiently under pressure, and solve problems with tact and diplomacy are required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
