Overview of the Supply Chain Governance & Compliance Team

The function of the team is to set the sourcing strategy for Tag and to implement that strategy by consolidating spend into a right-sized vendor base, selected to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We work our vendor panel to drive and deliver continuous improvement, sustainable cost reduction and innovation, and effectively communicate this to our internal and external clients. Other key considerations for our clients which we ensure/manage, in addition to value creation, are governance and compliance, corporate and social responsibility, management of risk and security of supply.

Purpose of the Role

Supplier Governance

  • Responsible for Supply Chain Governance and Product Compliance in APAC
  • Overall responsibility for SRM portal – scope, method, changes, and maintenance
  • Management of supplier onboarding process across all business units APAC (Direct, Indirect)
  • Ensuring supplier onboarding and audit process meets APAC clients’ needs
  • Responsibility for all supplier audit processes (Onsite Audit, SAQ and Premiums)
  • Management of 3rd party supplier assessment platforms and audits (e.g., SEDEX)
  • Responsibility for supply chain contract governance

Product Compliance

  • Ensuring product safety and legal compliance
  • Ensuring products comply with Tag’s policies and our customer’s requirements.
  • Management of Tag and client specific Product Compliance Processes
  • Product testing process management

Key Accountabilities

Financial

  • Managing risk of legal and contractual compliance
  • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks

Operational

  • Process development and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance to processes
  • Adapting processes to meet client specific requirements but with an overall aim to streamline to one single Tag process
  • Presenting Tag’s Supplier Governance solutions to our clients
  • Supporting Client Services and Channel Activation / Procurement Teams
  • Ensuring Tag’s suppliers are aligned to our values and strategy
  • Reporting on supplier performance, governance and quality
  • Supporting KPI development, monitoring and improvement
  • Supplier Performance Management

People

  • Management of GSS Admin Team (dotted line)
  • Build relationship with key stakeholders within Tag including Legal, Business Development and Client Services Teams
  • Multi-stakeholder working with external stakeholders including clients, 3rd party testing laboratories and audit firms, certification bodies and suppliers
  • Working closely with Channel Activation / Procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance.
  • Self-driven personal development to succeed

Business Development Support

  • Support Supplier Governance Strategy meets the needs of existing and potential customers and reengineering processes to meet their needs.
  • Supporting Business Development with potential client RFXs and pitches
  • Working with client services teams to provide added value Supplier Governance and Quality processes
  • Identify and escalate any risks where quality and compliance promises are made to clients that go beyond our capabilities
  • Support gap closure between client quality and compliance contractual requirements and Tag’s current capabilities

Requirements:

  • Degree level / equivalent education
  • >5-7 years’ experience in Sourcing
  • Experience of supplier governance and Product Compliance
  • Used to managing a APAC team and working with Global team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience of managing complex business change projects with strong influencing/collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency.
  • Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
