Systems Administrator

Blackbird Tridente Company Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure and systems. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the systems that support our organisation’s core functions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, system management tools, and hardware across Mac, Windows, and Unix environments
• Monitor and manage all installed systems and IT infrastructure to guarantee optimal availability, performance, and security
• Analyse system requirements and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design scalable, robust solutions
• Develop and implement strategies for system security, data backup, and redundancy
• Work closely with IT staff and vendors to ensure seamless integration, resolve issues, and support business objectives
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices in systems engineering
• Participate in the enhancement and optimisation of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support as required
• Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA are a plus
• Strong expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Mac and Windows environments
• Solid understanding of operating systems, networking (OSI model, TCP/IP), and PC hardware
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation and containerisation technologies (e.g., VMware, ProxMox)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud
• Proficient in system and network security best practices
• Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both English and Cantonese
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in documenting procedures and system configurations
