Position Description

The Graphic & Content Designer position is a new and exciting opportunity within our Marketing Communications team. This role is creative, collaborative, and designed to elevate the Mother’s Choice brand with the primary objective being to tell our stories in a thoughtful, audience-driven manner and deliver strategic, impactful communications.

Impact

This is a crucial role in enhancing the Mother’s Choice brand presence. Through compelling visuals and engaging videos, the goal is to inspire and captivate our stakeholders and the wider audience, driving engagement and success. This role requires an understanding of the mission and vision of Mother’s Choice and a passion to work helping the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation:

Develop and maintain consistent brand identity across all marketing collateral and channels.

Graphic Design:

Create visually appealing digital and print materials, including brochures and reports.

Video Production:

Shoot, edit, and animate videos for various platforms, including social media.

Brand Elevation:

Design creative assets and engaging videos that effectively communicate the Mother’s Choice brand message.

Project co-ordination + brand management: 

• Collaborate with all department teams within Mother’s Choice to understand project requirements and deliver designs and videos that meet objectives and timelines.
• Ensure brand consistency and adhere to brand guidelines across all design and video production deliverables.
• Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and agencies, as needed, to support design and video production requirements.
• Maintain an organized library of design assets (logos / fonts / images), videos, and project files for easy access and future use.

Stay Updated:

Stay up-to-date with the latest video and design trends and technologies and best practices in the field of graphic design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Up to 3 years of experience, ideally in marketing/communications and/or agency background, fresh graduate will also be considered.
• Proven experience in graphic design and video production, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and video editing skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Experience in creating motion graphics and animation, with knowledge of tools like Adobe After Effects or similar software.
• Knowledge of video production techniques, including shooting, lighting, sound, and post-production processes.
• Excellent creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling designs and videos.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and incorporate feedback.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their design and video requirements.
