Engineering Director (Hardware & Software–ODM/OEM Electronics & Medical Devices)

Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams (hardware, software, firmware) in the development of ODM/OEM electronic products and FDA/ISO-compliant medical devices.
• Drive end-to-end product development, from concept to mass production, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and regulatory adherence (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485, GMP, DFX).
• Collaborate with global clients, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to translate requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
• Oversee design for manufacturability (DFM), reliability testing, and risk management (e.g., FMEA) for hardware/software systems.
• Champion innovation in embedded systems, IoT, and wireless technologies for medical/industrial applications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., RoHS, CE, UL) and intellectual property protection.

Successful Applicant Requirement:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in engineering leadership, with 5+ years in ODM/OEM electronics (consumer, industrial, or medical devices).
• Deep expertise in hardware design (PCB, analog/digital circuits) and software/firmware development (embedded systems, C/C++, Python).
• Proven track record in medical device development (FDA/ISO regulations) is a strong plus.
• Experience with supply chain management, cost optimization, and NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Strong communication & presentation skills to bridge technical teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Experience working with overseas customers and proficiency in English are required.
• Frequent on-site work required in Dongguan.
