Manager, Accounting (Financial Operations)

Role Summary

About the Role

Key responsibilities:

• Finance operations – Lead BAU finance operations activities including premium collection, claims and expense settlement.
• Optimisation of Finance operations and controls - Identifying opportunities for process optimisation including working with our banking partners and external vendors to streamline payment processes with the aim to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks. Perform User Acceptance Test for system/process change.
• Treasury function – Develop and maintain adequate liquidity management processes suitable for business needs.
• Ad hoc Project - embed new acquired businesses into our existing processes from finance operations perspective.
• Maintain operational policies and procedures.

About you

1. 7 years or above working experience in accounting/ financial operations.
2. Detail-minded with good analytical ability.
3. Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one accounting system.
4. Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
5. A great team player with independent and strong interpersonal skills, who values both the growth of the individual and the team.
6. CPA and insurance experience are required for the Manager position. Candidates with less insurance experience or without a CPA may be considered for the Assistant Manager role.

And, the following qualifications are preferred but not essential

• At least 1 year of experience in an insurance company
• Previous knowledge on Sunsystem
• HKICPA full membership
• Experience in automation implementation

• Quality of output
• Timely delivery of the deliverables
• Proactiveness to build more efficient processes

Less experienced candidates can be considered for the Assistant Manager title
