Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for journalists and other media contacts. Manage media requests, develop press materials, and organize interviews for the company’s leadership. Maintain media contact lists.
- Write, edit, and translate business-related content, including but not limited to press releases, social media posts, corporate credentials, and the CEO’s message in English and Chinese.
- Arrange media training and the development of spokespeople.
- Lead and manage corporate reputational risk holistically.
- Work with agencies to monitor media coverage, produce coverage reports, and flag potential reputational issues.
- Plan and organize corporate events.
- Formulate the company’s brand strategy and oversee its execution.
- Manage and maintain the company’s owned media.
- Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree level or higher, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a language-related major.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
- A minimum of six years of corporate communications/media-related work experience.
- A good understanding of the media landscape, new media platforms, and communications trends.
- A team player with high energy and a ‘can-do’ attitude, combined with personal and professional integrity, diplomacy, and a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, Chinese, and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, WeChat, LinkedIn, and other relevant tools.
