Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (Programme Leader – Social Sciences)

Duties: 

• To manage and oversee the implementation and operation of the Progrmame
• To undertake the development of the existing Programme
• To ensure the quality of the Programme by ensuring the enforcement of the quality assurance mechanisms of the Institute in relation to the Programme
• To be responsible for the accreditation/recognition exercises of the Programme
• To oversee the academic staff in the furtherance of the work of the Progrmame
• To be responsible for the allocation and effective use of the resources made available to the Programme
• To be the Chairperson of Programme Committee
• To advise the Institute on studies and any other matters of importance, such as research matters, to the work of the Institute

Requirements:

• Holder of a Doctoral Degree in social science related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
• Minimum 6 years of working and/or teaching experience in tertiary institution with at least 4 years programme management  experience and external accreditation
• Strong leadership with the ability to plan strategically and handle complex issues tactfully in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
