Assistant Merchandising Manager - Toy Division

Responsibilities :

• Interface with overseas clients and China suppliers for all phases of order management : Quotations, sampling, specifications, purchase order receipt and issuance, order tracking, inspection arrangement, inspection report review and shipment.
• Review client provided packaging to ensure compliance with overseas regulations and customer and retailer requirements.
• Interface with internal Operations Department to ensure all matters related to compliance, testing, quality, factory audits and inspections are performed on time to facilitate client orders and on-time shipments.
• Assist the internal Operations Department with sourcing, factory identification and negotiations.
• Interface with internal Shipping Department to ensure shipments are booked in accordance with client and retailer requirements.
• Update clients daily on outstanding issues and reporting matters.
• Report to Company Senior Management.

The Ideal Candidate Profile :

• Eight plus years' experience in Shipping to overseas importers and retailers of consumer products from China
• Experience with Target and/or Walmart procedures for suppliers and software
• Experience and knowledge of China supplier production and procedures from tooling to shipment for consumer products – especially Toys.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing
• Good command of Cantonese, Mandarin and English
• Good organization skills of workstation and soft copy files.
• Able to work well with other departments and colleagues.
