The appointees will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating courses at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level; coordinating student field practice and overseeing programs; enhancing student learning experience; providing guidance to students in the capacity of academic advisor; contributing to programme activities and management; and performing any other duties as required by the Head of Department. Applicants should be able to teach in health-related, outdoor education and therapeutic play courses, with some experience in organizing student placement at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointment will be for two years.
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in health related disciplines related discipline plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant post-qualification teaching experience in the relevant discipline. Applicants who have less relevant post-qualification teaching experience in the subject applied for will be considered for the post of Lecturer II.
Applicants should preferably possess a relevant professional teaching certificate, e.g. PGDE or qualification of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognized by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong or other qualification of equivalence. Applicants should preferably possess a professional qualification in clinical supervision of play therapy. Proven evidence of quality teaching and/or a successful record of relevant professional experience is required. The ability to contribute to teaching in the area of health, outdoor education and play therapy, etc. It would be advantageous to applicants to have the ability to teach through more than one medium of instruction (English/ Cantonese/ Putonghua).

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 10% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits.
