Job Description
Reporting to Head of Corporate Functions, the job-holder will oversee and manage the financial and accounting functions of the Society.
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis, projection and planning, and prepare periodical reports for management and the Executive Committee.
- Revamp of the accounting system to streamline processes and enhance the overall efficiency of financial operations.
- Perform financial performance assessment of service units and / or projects.
- Ensure compliance of internal and external requirement of relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Formulate and review relevant policies, procedures and workflow from time to time.
- Supervise the accounting team to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency.
- Handle annual audit for the Society and Social Welfare Department account inspection.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and corporate strategic exercise.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant plus a bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years solid experience in accounting of which 3 years in supervisory / managerial level.
- Good accounting knowledge, strong financial and analytical skills
- Experience in the welfare sector an advantage.
- Strong PC literacy including financial / accounting applications.
