Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide spectrum of accounting duties independently
- Provide quality accounting services and financial advice to academic/administrative units
- Compile budgets and prepare analyses between the budget and the actual figures
- Perform cost re‐charging in accordance with Government regulations
- Provide assistance in preparing statutory financial statements and compiling returns required by the Government
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- A recognized degree or equivalent qualifications in Accounting or related disciplines
- Relevant experience in one or more areas of accounting work, such as handling full set of accounts, preparing financial statements and analyses, preparing budgets, processing accounts payables/receivables, managing project accounts, and writing reports are required
- A good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with multi-tasking skills
- Excellent PC skills in MS Office and good knowledge of computerized accounting systems
- Experience in the higher education/non-governmental organization sector is preferred
Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
