We'll trust you to:

• Make fast and critical judgement calls to identify the most important stories as well as gaps in coverage
• Work closely with reporters and produce streamlined edits that resonate with a diverse audience -- from our most sophisticated terminal users to our diverse base of online readers
• Produce quick, thoughtful and smart pieces in addition to richly detailed longer-form features
• Be comfortable working with veteran reporters and mentoring new talent
• Maintain a culture of innovation, and develop new ways to gain the reader’s imagination
• Promote diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage

You'll need to have:

• At least three years of recent experience in journalism
• Experience working in a real-time news environment
• Experience editing finance, markets, business, or economy-related stories
• Strong writing skills and the ability to produce sophisticated stories in a fast-paced global environment and meet urgent deadlines
• Confidence to handle this-just-in type of breaking news, scoops and long-form enterprise
• Sound news judgement and a talent for looking beyond the obvious story
• Demonstrated ability to break down silos and communicate across teams, groups, platforms and regions
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
