The University now invites application for the following position:

Assistant Director of Student Affairs – Student Affairs Office (Ref: ADSA (SAO) 2024-10-04)

Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the appointee will be responsible for the following: 

  • assist the Director of Student Affairs in overseeing the planning, organisation and delivery of student development programmes and services to enhance the student learning experience and support the strategic goals of the University;
  • guide and coordinate across teams to maintain and enhance the quality of student development programmes and services;
  • support the Director of Student Affairs in shaping policies and practices to address student needs, managing critical incidents, and facilitating cross-team and cross-office coordination for optimal performance; and
  • coordinate departmental-level and university-wide activities to meet the diverse needs of students and foster an inclusive environment.

Applicants should:

  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field, with substantial years of relevant experience in tertiary education;
  • have a passion for student development and learning with a proven ability to work with staff and   students effectively;
  • possess excellent leadership, planning, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • have a good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • be flexible and adaptable with a commitment to responding to rapidly changing needs; and
  • be able to work as an individual contributor as well as an effective team member.
