We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Information Technology Office:
Assistant Information Technology Manager (ITO) (Ref: 24001TF)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Assisting the managers in the user support team on service monitoring and administration;
- Providing technical services, user support, equipment maintenance, system administration, and daily operations for the University specifically in the following areas:
- Venues and facilities, including computing laboratories and learning commons;
- Computer software and hardware, including office automation, remote access, academic software, license control, and Cloud services;
- End-point devices, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and BYOD;
- Helpdesk, including student hotline, staff hotline, classroom hotline, chatbots, event organization and support; and - Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related disciplines;
- At least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in the management of customer services, computing laboratories, user and event supports;
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills, independent and proactive; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficient in both English & Chinese.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
