Job Description
The applicant must possess:
- a recognised degree or post-graduate qualification in education / training. A construction-related background is preferred but not essential;
- a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience in implementing outcomes based education and training or quality assurance / accreditation matters, preferably from education and / or vocational training institutions. Experience of teaching in secondary or post-secondary sector will be a definite advantage;
- some experience in project management and change management including assisting in leading curriculum development, or setting up quality assurance systems or leading accreditation exercises;
- committment to high levels of quality and continuous improvement;
- a sound working knowledge of Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF) and its implementation requirements;
- very good organisation skills, influencing skills, resourcefulness, proactive working attitude and willingness to take up extra responsibilities;
- the ability to work well in teams and also independently under pressure and time constraint;
- good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to various stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation; and
- good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include:
- to assist the Senior Manager / Manager - Curriculum Development & Quality Assurance (HKIC) to review and revamp training programmes at various levels (up to HKQF Level 4) taking into account good principles of curriculum development and HKQF requirements;
- to support the HKQF accreditation exercises to ensure successful outcomes;
- to assist in overseeing, facilitating and supporting the development of training programmes pitched at different HKQF levels through structured staff training, coaching and consultation;
- to be in charge of devising various systems to support the implementation of HKIC quality assurance system;
- to assist in devising mechanism and schemes to promote quality culture in the institute, including enhancement to learning and teaching;
- to provide relevant committee secretariat support including preparing meeting papers and reports and acting as committee secretary;
- to attend meetings as required; and
- to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
