Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance

Responsibilities:

• Act as Functional Champion of Quality Assurance function under Legal & Quality Division; 
• Proactively manage all quality, environmental, health & safety related tasks, projects and reporting of the company;
• Manage and integrate all relevant management systems and processes of the company with unified objectives (including risk management, regulatory compliance such as environmental and occupational safety laws, information security, business continuity);
• Design and implement policies of business compliance, comply with standards to achieve quality excellence and integrated management systems, maintain and manage all relevant certifications of the company, e.g., ISO (9001, 14001, 45001 & 27001) and FSC certificates;
• Arrange and perform internal auditing in preparation for certifications and re-certifications;
• Monitor and advocate for enhancement in company branding and performance, including supporting business unit service quality measurement, brand management workflow in relation to quality assurance;
• Maintain and improve internal systems and compile reports to regional and head offices;
• Design and manage recycling programs, green procurement projects and relevant vendors in close collaboration with business units and other departments of the company;
• Advocate champion for workplace safety & health, champion for workplace improvement and relevant committees with constant review and improvement of workplace safety and health;
• Review and develop appropriate quality standards, corrective action plans and preventive measures of various key processes related to complaints and investigation cases;
• Prepare, review, and verify SOP, workflows and reports on various management systems, quality standards and planning;
• Coordinate with external vendors and auditors; and
• Support other ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

• University graduate from Science in Environmental Management or Quality Engineering (or related disciplines);
• 5 years or more of relevant hands-on experience in various management systems and processes;
• Must possess solid knowledge of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certificate, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive, OSH (Occupational Safety and Health Council) ordinance and guidelines;
• Well qualified with solid experience and expertise in maintaining ISO certifications and re-certifications, including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO 27001;
• Certificate in MH (Manual Handling) and experience in BC (Business Continuity) plan and information security would be an advantage;
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications, Solutions & System Savvy for applying data analytics and process simplifications;
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (fluent English, Cantonese and Putonghua is a must);
• Strong ability in problem solving, project management, negotiations and timeline management;
• A strong team player with collaborative and growth mindsets;
• Passionate (with strong interest in ESG initiatives and management systems), proactive, dedicated, action-oriented, customer-centric and willing to take initiatives and make positive changes;
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and manage various priorities and multiple tasks in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment;
• Strong skills in communications and stakeholders’ management cross-functionally and at different levels;
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Manager; and
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
