The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) is looking for creative educators to lead the design, development and delivery of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointees are expected to provide strategic directions for programme design, programme promotion and marketing, course teaching and elevation, international partnership development, and liaison with industries and professional bodies.
Responsibilities
The appointee will be required to:
- Assist the director in supervising day-to-day programme administration
- Design and coordinate co-curriculum learning programmes, including service-learning and internship to undergraduate students
- Develop strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders to achieve funding goals
- Strategise the implementation of service-learning across disciplines through credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing programmes
- Strengthen the university’s service-learning image through affiliations in high-profile competitions and events
- Develop proposals for grant application
- Develop effective mechanisms to communicate success stories to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with good qualitative analytical experience
- Master’s or Ph.D. is highly preferred
- At least 6 years’ relevant experience in the education sector
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, resources management, communication, and reporting skills
- Strategic thinking and creative mindset
- Excellent command of written and verbal English
- Extensive international experience (studying, working, living)
- Prior experience in design and management of joint-university programmes will be an advantage
Successful candidate will be working in a team with diverse expertise from science to engineering, and social science to marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding academic training and international exposures. Candidates with good knowledge of innovation methods, entrepreneurship education and international non-governmental organization (NGO) works are highly preferred.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
